SageAge is a strategic marketing and business growth expert whose vision helps the senior living industry connect the realities of today with the opportunities of tomorrow. SageAge is looking for a talented copywriter to join our digital team and enrich our clients’ online presence by producing new blog posts and marketing copy.
The role will be writing engaging and SEO-keyworded content for senior living communities. This will include multiple monthly blog posts for each client, general digital marketing copy and other tasks as the role grows.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary – Writing, editing, and copy editing blogs for senior living
- Secondary – Writing, editing, and copy editing for multiple channels in multiple formats, including websites, articles, case studies, email campaigns, videos, blogs, and marketing materials
- Collaborating with Marketing Specialists and Account Managers to gather requirements and feedback and to meet tight deadlines
- Balancing multiple writing projects at any given time, ensuring that projects are completed as scheduled and within budget
- Maintaining familiarity with each client’s requirements, brand tone and voice, products, and services, as well as ongoing changes
- Contributing as a subject matter expert on the team for best practices in writing and editing
Additional responsibilities include:
- Independently researching topics and effectively synthesizing that research into impactful content
- Interviewing client and internal subject matter experts to enhance content
- Finding and developing industry sources for content when needed
- Being relentless on the characteristics of great writing, such as flow, readability, and tone
- An understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Journalism degree and/or demonstration of extensive hands-on journalism experience
- 5+ years in writing
- 3+ years in marketing content creation
- Stellar communication skills (writing, verbal, and presentation)
- Big-picture thinking while still keeping a close eye on the details
- Superior organizational and project management skills
