Introducing Natalie Reed and Matthew Parrish
Thanks to the trust and confidence of an ever-increasing number of senior living communities throughout the country, SageAge Strategies continues to grow at an unprecedented rate. With this rapid growth, we recognize both the need and the opportunity to expand our talented client support staff.
Today, we are very pleased to welcome our two newest team members, Natalie Reed, Content Specialist in our Digital Marketing Division, and Matthew Parrish, Quality Assurance Specialist in our Communications area. Natalie and Matt bring exceptional knowledge and skill to their respective positions to further enhance the quality of our services to our client-partners.
A top priority of SageAge Strategies is to be the premier digital marketing provider in the entire senior living industry. In her role as Content Specialist, Natalie represents another important step toward achieving that status.
Working closely with our client communities, she is responsible for:
- Updating and optimizing client websites and their content, including special events, news articles, blogs, career opportunities and other fresh online information
- Developing monthly and quarterly customized website reports and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) reports to assist clients in measuring their progress
- Assisting the web and marketing teams with any additional projects, such as user experience optimization, intuitive website navigation, text and visual flow, and other consumer-centered improvement strategies
As for technical expertise, Natalie is experienced in several key areas including Adobe Experience Manager, InDesign, Photoshop, Google Search Appliance, Google Analytics, Drupal and WordPress.
Prior to joining us at SageAge, Natalie worked as a Digital Media Intern at Corning, Inc. where she assisted with the global corporation’s worldwide website re-launch. She was assigned the key responsibilities of helping to enhance the internal search engine; developing, writing and building digital content; making web content changes; optimizing the website content and identifying areas where Corning’s content could be optimized further.
She also completed an internship with a New York consulting organization, where she worked directly with clients to develop and enhance digital content for their website and social media presence.
An honors graduate of Ithaca College, Natalie received her Bachelor of Science degree while majoring in Communication Management & Design. While there, she was very active in a variety of programs and events, and served on the college’s Student Activities Board.
Commenting on her career in senior living, Natalie says, “Working directly with senior living website content, I feel very connected to the communities we work with on a daily basis. I really get an inside feel for all of our clients as I see their communities come to life on the website with pictures, articles and videos. I receive a great deal of personal gratification in knowing my support of our client-partners helps to provide important information that improves the lives of older people throughout the country.”
As Quality Assurance Specialist in our QA department, Matt closely examines all marketing materials generated by SageAge Strategies to make sure that the copy and design are error-free, reader-friendly and consistent with our client-partners’ expressed preferences and specifications.
This includes checking spelling and grammar, phrasing and fluidity as well as well copy organization and structure. Matt also conducts fact-checking of content, reviews research information and makes appropriate phrasing and layout suggestions.
In his valuable role, Matt enables SageAge to maintain the highest standards of excellence, professionalism and effectiveness for all materials created to represent our clients in the competitive marketplace.
Matt comes to SageAge ideally prepared for his Quality Assurance responsibilities. His background includes editing and public relations, as well as health care in a skilled nursing community.
As the Arts and Entertainment Editor for the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, he organized and edited the weekly Showcase entertainment insert, as well as daily entertainment pages and special sections. In addition, Matt periodically covered news events for the front page.
During his time as the Assistant Director of College Relations for Lycoming College, Matt wrote press releases, generated and edited content for the website and multiple publications, and covered a variety of college events. He also wrote feature stories for Lycoming Magazine, the college’s quarterly alumni publication.
Beyond his extensive communications abilities, Matt is a Certified Nurse Aide and is also CPR-certified. He has worked as a Nurse Aide at two central Pennsylvania nursing and rehabilitation centers. For both communities, he performed personal care duties for residents, which included dressing, feeding and bathing, among other activities of daily living.
Matt received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA and then went on to attain his Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
Speaking of his passion for senior living, Matt says, “As a Certified Nurse Aide, I can say that helping seniors have a better quality of life is very important to me, and working at SageAge, I have the chance to promote the efforts of so many wonderful senior living communities that help seniors-in-need every day of their lives.”
