Introducing Eileen Davenport

As SageAge Strategies continues to grow with our list of successful client-partners, we have the opportunity to add more talent and expertise to our team of professionals. We are very pleased to announce the latest addition to our outstanding roster, Eileen G. Davenport, Bookkeeper.

A detail-oriented, highly organized professional with extensive experience in accounting principles and systems, Eileen possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills and is a highly adept multi-tasker. She returns to her Pennsylvania roots after a successful 13-year career as a staff accountant in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born in Williamsport, PA, Eileen worked for two local banks for almost 20 years before departing for Charlotte in 1999 after accumulating “as many accounting credits as I could” and changing her career focus from banking to accounting.

A graduate of Messiah College in Grantham, PA, with a BA in Behavioral Science, Eileen continued her education at Pennsylvania College of Technology, an affiliate of Penn State University, where she attained 33 credit hours in accounting. To say that Eileen is a woman of diverse talents and interests would be quite an understatement. Experienced in basic carpentry and electrical work, she enjoys home remodeling and improvement projects and has remodeled several houses in the past. Currently, she is in the process of remodeling her new home, which she purchased in mid-June.

When Eileen is not busy with her power tools or rewiring the basement, she enjoys other less strenuous pursuits. She is an avid reader who also enjoys gardening, scrapbooking and sewing.

As with many of her co-workers at SageAge Strategies, Eileen is an animal lover – and then some! She has nine cats, which came as a result of doing animal rescue work in Charlotte.

“I consider them my children since I have no human kids. Now, with an acre of land, I also have two goats so I have less grass to mow. When I lived here before, I had a ‘farmette’ with goats, chickens, ducks, geese and sheep,” says Eileen.

Eileen is also a firm believer in natural living, eating and medicine. A vegetarian, she tries to eat organic and natural, unprocessed foods, “except for our Friday donut day,” she says!
