Montoursville, PA – May 10th 2013 – The prestigious Telly Awards competition has selected SageAge Strategies as the 2013 Bronze winner for their Abe’s Garden documentary video. With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.

The award-winning documentary addresses the growing challenge of Alzheimer’s disease in our country and features the personal stories of several individuals, including award-winning music artists Amy Grant and Karen Taylor-Good, who have dealt directly with the disease’s impact on their loved ones. Beyond the heartache Alzheimer’s causes for individuals and their families, the documentary shares the wonderful advances being made at Abe’s Garden in Nashville, TN. Abe’s Garden is a center of excellence for the latest in evidence-based Alzheimer’s and memory care, which includes a unique medical research, education and training partnership with Vanderbilt University. The video chronicles the creation of Abe’s Garden, its founder’s vision, its advancements and its potential as a new model of care for providing an unprecedented level of quality care and comprehensive services for affected individuals. The documentary delivers an inspiring message of dedication, progress, hope and, ultimately, victory over Alzheimer’s disease.

Upon receiving the award, SageAge Strategies’ President, Faith L. Ott, stated, “Our work with the wonderful people at Abe’s Garden is truly a labor of love. “This honor is very special to all of us because the awards committee has judged the documentary to be effective in capturing the heroic, groundbreaking work occurring at Abe’s Garden to benefit the growing numbers of individuals and families suffering the ravages of Alzheimer’s disease. “We take great pride in our work with the Abe’s Garden team and look forward to continuing our partnership with them in advancing their noble mission.”

The Telly Awards competition was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected marketing organizations, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

For its 34th season, The Telly Awards once again joined forces with YouTube to give the public the power to view and rate videos submitted as part of the People’s Telly Awards. In addition to the judging panel that selects the Telly Awards winners, the Internet community helps decide the People’s Telly Awards winners.

A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The panel evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work – entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit.

“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “SageAge Strategies accomplishments illustrate their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
