SageAge Strategies Names William McClain, MBA to Our Roster of Specialists

For over 25 years, SageAge has been a leading resource for marketing, consulting and training services for senior living providers. And, we’re proud to be continuously adding even more value and expertise for our clients. To boost our already extensive experience in the marketing and communications area, we are pleased to announce that Bill McClain, MBA, has joined our team as Strategic Branding & Communications Specialist.

Bill’s addition to our team drives our strategic, creative content to even higher levels.

Bill brings to SageAge Strategies over thirty years experience as a senior marketing professional with the majority of it in the highly competitive healthcare industry. He possesses extensive expertise in the areas of evidence-based marketing, brand development, strategic messaging, corporate communications, service excellence, market research and plan development. 

For the past 25 years, Bill has been a senior leader for a Pennsylvania-based multi-hospital system that included assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, as well as home care and inpatient hospice services.  He held the position of Senior Vice President, Marketing & Strategic Planning prior to leaving the hospital sector on his 25th anniversary of service.   

During his lengthy tenure as the health system’s chief marketing officer, Bill was credited with “significantly improving the health system’s marketing and strategic planning processes”.  Major accomplishments included increasing market share, creating a successful new post-merger brand identity, presenting the health system’s strategic marketing plan to the nation’s top credit rating agencies in a successful capital project financing initiative, and conceiving, planning and implementing the LifeCenter™ at Lycoming Mall- winner of the American Hospital Association’s national award for Outreach Services in the mid-nineties.

A graduate of Ursinus College in southeastern Pennsylvania, Bill went on to receive his MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  He credits his graduate focus on marketing management for igniting his passion for helping client organizations to better understand their customers and relate to them based on the evidence of their true needs, problems and expectations. Bill is a strong advocate of the power of “Word of Mouth” and the vital importance of helping clients understand which service considerations and messaging strategies resonate most effectively with current and prospective customers.

Bill enjoys the opportunity to serve others and during his career has been a board member for the local United Way, American Heart Association and County Health Improvement Coalition, as well as being a long time youth soccer coach.
